Gretchen Davis

Darwin, Northern Territory

I first met Danee some years ago at an equine trimming clinic in Darwin, Northern Territory. I was struck by:

  • her direct, yet inquisitive eye contact,
  • her way of questioning that helped me understand the questions I was wanting to ask and
  • her ability to explain the answer in the way she understood it – that also helped my own understanding of the answer.

I have greatly enjoyed seeing her progress into her professional qualifications and full time trimming career. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing her repeated successes in rehabilitating various equine hooves that she documented on her Facebook page.

In the following years Danee has further impressed with:

  • her dedication to further learning and education in different body working modalities but also extensively in equine nutrition,
  • her application to sharing that impressive body of knowledge &
  • her downright passion that she has for helping Equines cope with our “human-ness”

Danee is a person that speaks directly to our equines mental and physical health needs.

Danee has the gift of being able to “translate” complex topics to a level that more of us can understand. Having sat in many lectures and clinics myself, the ability to help others understand “educated speak” is indeed a gift!

Danee walks this path understanding the dedication, the on-going investment / requirement, to look at the “Whole Horse”… to see the nuances that run through emotional behaviours, physical, bodyworks and performance. ‘Performance’ being whatever you ask the Equine to do… and want them to be able to do well.

Danee is an awesome team member with integrity and a devious twist of humour.

She has my utmost respect and I recommend her whole heartedly.
