Triple P Hoof Trims - Bairnsdale, Victoria I have known Danee since we first met in 2014 at the Equine Podiotherapy Diploma course at ACEPT in Yarck, Victoria. From our first meeting we developed a strong friendship. Then and now I remain impressed with her depth and breadth of knowledge in all things equine, but also in her passion, capacity and constant search to keep learning. At Yarck in her spare time, Danee began the process of educating some of the college’s young horses to being ridden. It was a pleasure to watch her working with the horses, developing a rapport to facilitate their schooling....

Gayndah QLD Working with Danee has been an absolute delight. Over a very short period of three months, we have been able to solve many of the issues that were of concern. Diet being the priority and gradually fine tunning the horses diet based on the incoming results. Not only are the horses now healthier they are also more relaxed and easier to work with. It is very clear that Danee knows her stuff and is eager to get the results we both set out to achieve. Danee was referred to me by our vet when I questioned the development of one of our horses. The main concern was the most recent edition to the stable, a 13-year-old mare that had all...

Kimmy Gordon Smith & Chicco

My 13yr old Paint gelding Chico was sadly diagnosed with extensive side bone in BOTH his front feet 3yrs ago. I’d only had him a year. Vets gave me three options at the time: Shod for the rest of his life Cut the nerves to his feet PTS Instead I spent hours and hours researching & trying everything I can to give my “heart horse” a chance that he may have a longer life with me. I put him in steel shoes and eventually he came mostly sound in front. But then all these other issues started showing up and no one knew how to help him. I felt helpless at times and considered the vets recommendations of PTS. But then I literally stumbled across...

Kimmy Gordon Smith & Ripley

Ripley is my 3year old QH filly who came to live with me about 15mths ago. I started Rip on CHH supplements after seeing the results my other horse Chicco was getting. I had Danee assess her WHOLE diet including her paddocks, the grasses in it & my hay. Rip had recently started cross firing in her hinds when ground working. She’d also become mad with itch, pushing herself all over you. Yet she was also generally standoffish & didn’t like necessarily being touched. She was dull in her coat & got these awful ‘hot spots’ on her body. She was very spooky and had terrible separation anxiety. We decided to make some changes and...

September 2022 my 18 yr old Thoroughbred mare Arlo and I had been battling a persistent case of seedy toe for 12 months plus. Arlo had been in shoes her entire post racing life as each time we’d try to go barefoot, it had failed terribly. Arlo had now developed a nasty abscess resulting from an incorrectly & unresolved treated seedy toe episode, that had now blown out at the top of her coronary band. Arlo couldn’t hold her shoes, was three legged , head bobbing lame & had dropped a substantial amount of weight.  I’d battled for over a year but was at my wits end, spending hundreds of dollars on feed and hay trying to get weight...

Darwin, Northern Territory I first met Danee some years ago at an equine trimming clinic in Darwin, Northern Territory. I was struck by: her direct, yet inquisitive eye contact, her way of questioning that helped me understand the questions I was wanting to ask and her ability to explain the answer in the way she understood it – that also helped my own understanding of the answer. I have greatly enjoyed seeing her progress into her professional qualifications and full time trimming career. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing her repeated successes in rehabilitating various equine hooves that she documented on her Facebook page. In the...

Dr Sarah F Brett

Kimberley Vet Centre - Kununurra My name is Dr Sarah Brett. I am a practicing Veterinary surgeon in Kununurra, Western Australia and have had the great privilege of being associated with Danee Finckh for over 20 years. I have worked with Danee as a client, but also as an incredible source of knowledge and information relating to all things equestrian. She has given me invaluable guidance on feeding, educating and handling my own horses over the years, which has assisted me enormously. She is one of the greatest advocates for horses, who I have ever had the honour to work with. Her passion for all things horse is second to none, and her...

Bundaberg Queensland This is my Gypsy Cob Shannie. I've had her around 7 years - and she has ALWAYS scoured! We live in Qld feasting on high oxalis grasses and weeds (she is the goat of the paddock). This year we had a wet winter - so there was no break in feasting on lush green grass. But in Dec 2022 - Shan hit breaking point. Her scouring became the worst I've seen it, her feet became tender and she stopped growing hoof! We thought she was about to founder. I called my magnificent farrier who recommended getting her off grass straight away and starting the CHH program. 7 weeks later and I have a different horse! For the first time in her...
